The operation’s leader, established in 2006. The goal of the Innovation Institute Foundation is to foster innovation in Poland, including support for developing an information society and fostering international cooperation concerning the development of science and economy. The foundation is working towards social in intercultural integration, through numerous projects aimed at counteracting unemployment and social exclusion. Up until now, the foundation has focused on supporting immigrants and NGOs (including Polish communities abroad) and carried out numerous educational projects. It specializes in creating educational movies. In Warsaw, it is currently operating “Gościniec” – a refugee house for Ukrainians. In this project, the foundation is coordinating the implementation of tasks and carrying out organizational, financial and accounting tasks. It is also responsible for the construction of 6 mini-apiary prototypes, creating their technical documentation, investment oversight over mini-apiary construction, carrying out marketing research concerning the demand for products created in the prototype mini-apiary, as well as the creation and maintenance of the project’s website.
Fundacja jest także odpowiedzialna za wykonanie 6 prototypów minipasieki, wykonanie dokumentacji technicznej wyposażenia minipasieki, nadzór inwestorki nad realizacją budowy minipasiek, przeprowadzenie badań marketingowych w zakresie zapotrzebowania na produkty wytworzone w propototypowej minipasiece oraz złożenie i prowadzenie strony internetowej dotyczącej operacji Instytut Ogrodnictwa ze Skierniewic (Logo INHORT link do strony www.inhort.pl) jest Państwowym Instytutem Badawczym i stanowi największe centrum nauk ogrodniczych w Polsce, z tradycjami i dorobkiem naukowo-badawczym sięgającym okresu dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. Instytutowy Zakład Pszczelnictwa w Puławach, przeprowadzi badania w zakresie: wpływu zastosowanych innowacji na dobrostan rodzin pszczelich dwóch linii doświadczalnych, wykorzystania bazy pożytkowej w lokalizacjach doświadczalnych, wykorzystania pokarmu zimowego i stan przezimowania rodzin w minipasiekach oraz analiz izykochemicznych pozyskanych próbek miodów.
The University of Technology and Life Sciences - National Research Institute (ITP-PIB) has been operating in its current shape since January 1st, 2010, when two major agricultural institutes – the Construction and Agriculture Mechanization and Electrification Institute (IBMER – established 1948) and Land Improvement and Reclamation Institute (IMUZ - established 1953) - have merged into a single organization. The institute carries out research and development work concerning technical and life sciences in the areas of: protection, usage and shaping of landscape and rural infrastructure, water resources, agri-ecosystems, permanent grasslands, mountainous and lowland environments. It implements innovative technologies concerning plant and animal production (including fish), as well as agricultural goods and foodstuffs processing, rural technical infrastructure and renewable energy sources. Another major activity area of ITP-PIB concerns the safety of implemented technologies and the usage of equipment and machinery.
In the DOBRY MIÓD operation, ITP – PIB will be responsible for the preparation of bee-oriented seed mixtures, their cultivation technology and preparing a list of recommended melliferous plants, as well as preparing guidelines for initiating and carrying out field research.
MODR is offering training and counseling support with the goal of increasing the competitiveness of Polish agriculture, increasing the quality of life in the Polish countryside and improving the professional competencies of rural area inhabitants in the Masovia province. In the DOBRY MIÓD operation, MODR will be operating one of the mini-apiaries in its agricultural holding belonging to the Poświętne branch, as well as promoting and popularizing the project’s results.
The Skierniewice Institute of Horticulture is a National Research Institute and constitutes the largest horticultural research center in Poland, with scientific traditions and history reaching back to the interwar years. Its Bee Research Department in Puławy will research: the impact of the implemented innovations on the well-being of bee colonies in two lines of research, usage of the foraging area in research areas, usage of winter feed and winter survival of the mini-apiary colonies, physical and chemical analysis of honey samples.
